Description

An abnormal reduction of the relative proportion of CD4+ to CD8+ T cells. Note: A low or inverted CD4/CD8 ratio is an immune risk phenotype and is associated with altered immune function, immune senescence, and chronic inflammation in both HIV-infected and uninfected populations.
