Description
Condition first described by Hait et al. 2020 (PMID: 33310865) in one adult patient with recurrent HSV2 lymphocytic Mollaret’s meningitis (recurrent lymphocytic meningitis due to HSV2 infections). CNS resident cells and patient fibroblasts showed impaired HSV2-induced autophagy, impaired viral replication and apoptosis (PMID: 33310865).
